cut-paper Animation.
Create a stop-motion animation in AfterEffects telling a short story of your animal.
ANIMATION / STOP-MOTION / STORYTELLING
Paper pieces must be cut out of paper, scanned, and then animated in AfterEffects.
8 frames per 20 seconds.
Sounds must be self - recorded.
RESTRICTIONS
Representation and interaction in 2D, dissect form and speak to its aesthetics, build relationships between 2D static and kinetic forms.

STORYBOARDING
To brainstorm my animation plotline I sketched out an overview of the story I wanted to tell. Each scene gradually zooms out in perspective.
CUTTING PAPER
Cutting out each individual piece to be scanned and transferred into AfterEffects. In my video, I wanted to maintain the "stop-motion" jumpy aesthetic, but also make sure Barry's movements were convincing.
